2011/09/18 Robot Carnival (ロボットカーニバル, Robotto Kānibaru) is a Japanese anthology original video animation (OVA) released in 1987 by A.P.P.P.. In North America, it was released in 1991 in theaters by Streamline Pictures with the order of the segments slightly rearranged. The film consists of nine shorts by different well-known directors 2020/06/02 Needless to say, Robot Carnival took my breath away and although it wasn't my first introduction to anime, it encouraged me to seek out more of this brash style of animation from the East. It isn't high on many 'must-watch' lists 1987/07/21 I fondly remember Robot Carnival because it premiered on the Sci-fi channel in the mid-90s. Anime was new to me at the time, so this movie left quite an impression and hyped me up to pursue more anime. Any fan of retro anime 1987/07/21
