In North America, it was released in 1991 in theaters by Streamline Pictures with the order of the segments slightly rearranged. The film consists of nine shorts by different well-known directors 2020/06/02 Needless to say, Robot Carnival took my breath away and although it wasn't my first introduction to anime, it encouraged me to seek out more of this brash style of animation from the East.
